K-8 Scholarships

Knights of Columbus Grant Application

As a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, there are funds available through the Father Cushen Catholic Schools Grant for grades K-8. Please view more info about this scholarship here.

Aim Higher Foundation Scholarship

The Aim Higher Foundation provides scholarships to children whose families are seeking tuition assistance for a K-8 Catholic education in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Find out more information here. Y tambien, en español: aqui.

On May 30, 2023, the Aim Higher Foundation’s summer application opens. The application process for families in the summer is exactly the same as the primary period with two changes. First, scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis through early August instead of awarding after the application closes. Second, priority will be given to families who are new to Catholic schools; however, returning families may still apply. Find out more information here.

Applications are available through mytads.com or by contacting St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School. Once an application is submitted, it is necessary for each individual or family to submit specific documents which help the Aim Higher Foundation determine whether or not the student is qualified.

The last awarding of reserve fund scholarships will take place on Friday, May 13. As a reminder, the Reserve Fund is available for any students who have recently experienced sudden and unexpected hardship. The scholarship is $1,000 and it does turn into an Aim Higher scholarship the following year, should the student still be in need. Please contact the school office at school@stjohns-excelsior.org to fill out an application.
