Miss Christa grew up in Ham Lake, MN with her three sisters and one brother. She was homeschooled until fourth grade, when she began attending school at Holy Family Academy. After graduating high school, Christa discerned she was called to teach and began working towards a degree in Special Education. During this time, Christa worked as a para at St. Louis Park Middle School and a Personal Care Attendant for adolescents and young adults with Down Syndrome. While pregnant with her first child, Christa made the decision to pursue a teaching career in a Catholic, family-centered community. This is Miss Christa’s sixth year at St. John the Baptist. Her daughter, Eloise, and her son, Aaron, both attend SJB! As a family, they love being outdoors, especially camping and exploring state and national parks. She is excited to continue her journey at St. John’s.
